Having worked with graphic and web designers for over 20 years, we appreciate the responsibility agencies have to their clients. Nobody wants to be left with egg on their face, or worse still, lose a client.
Proofreading, therefore, is a vital part of the design process. When so much time and effort has been invested in the project as a whole, you can't afford to let careless errors slip through the net. The question is: who will do it? Smaller agencies sometimes don't have the time or an appropriate member of staff, while larger agencies may find it difficult to justify a full-time in-house proofreader.
